Destiny Coleman, Aidan Peterkin Among Top Entries At The Armory By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor John Nepolitan Photo The first big indoor meet of the busy 2025-26 season at The Armory is Saturday's JAMBAR Coaches Hall of Fame Invitational. Maryland state champion hurdler Destiny Coleman (Woodlawn) is expected to open in the 55-meter hurdles. Coleman ran a wind-aided 13.25 last spring to win her state meet final and also owns a best of 42.88 in the 300 hurdles. Coleman is also the top entry in the invitational girls 300 meters. WATCH THE JAMBAR COACHES HALL OF FAME INVITATIONAL LIVE SATURDAY ON RUNNERSPACE+ Aidan Peterkin of Elmont Memorial NY, the top returning sprinter in New York, leads the entries in the invitational boys 300 meters. He is also on the entry list in the 200 meters where he would face matchup with PSAL outdoor 100 champion Akul Simon of Macchiarola (Brooklyn). Owen Conley of Colonie Central NY is the top seed in the invitational mile. Maggie McCormick of Bay Shore NY, who finished 36th at Nike Cross Nationals last Saturday in Portland, is the top entry in the girls mile. One of Maryland's top sprinters, Ben Wheeler of Hereford MD, is the top entry in the invitational boys 500 meters. Michael Rynne of Iona Prep leads the field in the boys invitational 2-mile. Charles Sullivan of Somers NY, the runner-up in the weight throw at Nike Indoor Nationals in March, is the top entry in that event. Tiffany Garrett of Riverview Baptist MD tops the entry list in the girls 55-meter dash; Janelia Williams of Paul Robeson leads the entries in the 200. More news |
